CANIS MAJOR (hazwan): In Brilliant Shipping Agency, How the company manage the movement of goods from one place to another?

MR. ZUL: Firstly, it starts with, the business either received an order from another firm, or more simply, received an email with the intention of using their transportation services. The offeror will next provide specifics on where and when the business may pick up the products. A corporation must first create the necessary paperwork, such as a collection order, delivery order, commercial invoice, and others, before scheduling a transport to pick up the products. To prevent any delays in transferring client products, the company's transport planner must organise or schedule the usage of the trucks one day in advance once the documentation has been created. Once the driver has finished loading, the products will be delivered right away to the specified address by the shipper. When the products have been delivered securely and within the agreed period, the process is complete.

 

CANIS MAJOR : What are the types of vehicles used in Brilliant Shipping Agency?

 

MR. ZUL: There are just two vehicles employed by Brilliant Shipping Agency, the primary of which is a trailer lorry used to convey large or heavy products. The dump truck is the second car in the meanwhile. CANIS MAJOR: How the company make sure that the vehicle always available to be used in the transportation service?

 

MR. ZUL: As I am the transport planner, I will decide that where they should deliver the goods between the 5 employees who drive the lorry. Usually, if one of the employees had deliver the goods to distant destination yesterday, then the next day the driver will deliver some other goods that close trip. The company use the term ‘turn by turn’ in order to finished the delivery services and the most importantly the planning of vehicles used must be done as soon as the order was received, so that the process will run smoothly.

CANIS MAJOR: What are the most important documents needed in import and export process?

Mr. Jaabar: For import and export cargo the most important documents are bill of lading, invoice and packing list. It is because the function of bill of lading is to provides evidence of contract terms of carriage. For the function of invoice is to provide documentation of service rendered and payment owed. For the last one is function of packing list that as a supporting document for reimbursement under the letter of credit. If one of the documents is incomplete then the process for importing and exporting goods to foreign companies will be blocked and detained by authorities such as customs.

 

CANIS MAJOR:Which party will be involved in the meeting held by the port and why the meeting need to do and when the meeting will be held?

 

Mr. Jaabar: The port will hold a meeting with shippers, exporters, shipping and forwarding agents, transporters, contractors and the port itself. The meeting beed to do because to plan and discuss all the matters that would be required for safe berthing and cargo operation of the ship at the port. The meeting will be held 3-5 days before the cargo arrived at port.

 

CANIS MAJOR: What does Brilliant Shipping Agency Sdn Bhd do when the ship carrying goods arrives at the port and when the ship move out of the port area?

 

Mr. Jaabar: Brilliant Shipping Agency will carry out its duties by sending a representative on board the ship, meet the captain, and collect all necessary paperwork. The agent will also communicate with relevant authorities, such as the Maritime Department and the Customs Department. Before the ship move out of the port area, they will ensure the capacity of the goods loaded into the ship is sufficient and check the condition of the ship in the best quality.

CANIS MAJOR:  Mr. Zul, does this company create or manage inventory?

MR. ZUL: for this inventory, there are many parties involved and the inventory will manage transportation by ship to sail and enter. Our company only manages to ship. while the importer will contact other agents for the next activity, we are also not involved with the warehouse and only ride with other warehouses that require services. after collecting and the sailing date has been set, we will manage the journey from the warehouse to the ship. besides that, we will call another company to continue the next process.

CANIS MAJOR: In addition, what are the activities besides shipping?

MR. ZUL: no, we only supply cargo for shippers, and the scope of our work is only in work and outwork or in other words exit and enter the ship by using a truck

CANIS MAJOR: Lastly, what does this company use other ports besides the sea?

ABANG ZUL: No, this company only uses Seaport and we only use Johor port because there is no bulk carrier in other ports
